tavern LA. i'd love to meet you there.

whilst perusing my current elle decor magazine, i stumbled upon a feature page of what's hot! i wanted to share this really stunning commercial space interior designed by jeffrey alan marks for tavern la.

jeffrey alan marks explains that a site's color, light and landscape are all essential elements in his style and sensibility.
"influenced by years spent living abroad in london, paris and milan, marks, or jam as he is more casually called, advocates clean lines and classical proportion. no matter the era, ethos, particular architectural style, it's these components that make his space timeless."

how about that line, making a space timeless? that's harder to do than we'd imagine. i found this space, tavern la., that jam created to be airy, comfortable, plush, stark and warm and inviting...all at the same time. so, if you live near tavern la. have you been there? wouldn't you all love to meet there for coffee and a pastry? i'm going there in my imagination today, i'll join you with an espresso and a sticky bun. enjoy!
p.s. i finished my paper in time, thanks for the sweet comments!
