kathleen hills and bone china.

these bone china pendant lights are simply perfect.

i love these pin cushion lights above, perfect for on top of a bureau or desk.

how precious are these egg stands with peeks of the china patterns in the slots.

'Since graduating from
The Royal College of Art in 2002, Kathleen Hills’ work has acquired quite a following. the crafts council has promoted her work and earlier this year, cate blanchett commissioned a lighting installation for her home. Hills trades under the company name multi- make a note of it, it’s going to be big.' i first noticed kathleen's work in the september issue of living etc. the september issue i really couldn't put down, i was drawn to everything in it. i'm sure i'll post about many of the design ideas, items and artists throughout this month here and there. kathleen hills was featured for her bone china disc light. i loved the simplicity, the texture bone china has, the old fashioned-ness of the material used, simply perfect. in reading about her and her technique she appears to be gaining much press and notoriety. she teaches, creates beautiful tableware service for weddings, messages are added to your present and delivered to your door. kathleen is also lending her work commercially. check her site out, great gift ideas or additions of simply beautiful home accessories for yourself.
