lighten up.

i have to say i've never been a big fan of table lamps. why? because so many are typical and boring. then i found lighten up design. lighten up design created by lisa goldberg in 2004. lisa currently lives and designs in brooklyn new york. after years of working in the advertising/marketing corporate world she broke out on her own, going back to her craft...her art. i love the simplicity and organic shape of many of her lights, vases and tableware. glossy, clean lines which when placed in the right space would not interrupt an environent but help to accent the space, acting not only as a table lamp but as added sculpture. lisa says that "light, color and art have an enormous impact on the way we experience a room. our original goal was to turn the utilitarian lamp into a beautiful sculpture that would add panache and elegance to any space." yeah, what she said. lighten up design accomplishes their goal of lightening up the world of lamps.
