have a relaxing weekend!
it's been a heeeeeeeectic week, and i feel like wrapping up in blankets and going slooooooow this weekend...
(via)
what about you? how was your week? i have big news to share soon on the job front! will post about it next week. meanwhile planning a move, assessing my thoughts on space, location, and where it is that i will feel most comfortable and happy. again, more on that VERY soon! super excited 😊
in between the busy (and busy thoughts!) you'll find me reading, sipping red wine (a friend just dropped off 3 new bottles for me to try!), and sleeping in. i hope that your weekend is everything you want it to be. and it's friday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:
have you downloaded the color story app? see her versions of it here. i love it so far!
another pretty one piece bathing suit.
pretty cantilever metal & marble table lamps, from target!
speaking of metal & marble lamps, i like this one too, alot!
still reeeeaaaaally wanting one of these velvet chairs. bad!
cute studs. earrings i mean ;)
pure pillow love.
more pillow love.
tropical get away fashion perfection.
a stunning wall sconce.
wow, love so much about this parisian apartment.

loving this "cathedral" centerpiece candle holder in matte light pink.
these "pleat box" pendant lamps are pretty neat (singularly or clustered).
pretty pottery (etsy love!)
head over heels for this love shack collection!
wishing for this blanket.

from tiny islands
i find myself lately pairing down, minimalizing my wardrobe, my interiors, my color palette interests and yes, my jewelry ownership. and i'm most especially attracted to subtle, simple and suggestive pieces. i absolutely love this line...offered up "from tiny islands", it satisfies all that i'm drawn to right now, shape, line, pattern, overall seriously clean design...
the aim of from tiny islands as stated on their about page is to "speak of solitude and freedom, of quiet resolution" in the form of jewelry design. those words are so beautiful at times. and each of the pieces offered up by from tiny islands speaks to their overall design personality.
from tiny islands also hopes to remind those drawn to their jewelry to enjoy them as keepsakes. all of these are on my current keepsake wishlist. what about you? are you coveting a more minimal jewelry design line? or are you still breaking out the big earrings now and then? (hey, there's a time for everything, right?! ha!) enjoy...

monday impact
why not start of the week with some impact furniture? i have just the line, offered up by the french luxury design line of hervé van der straeten, chock full of "bold variations of form, contrasting materials and defiant, pure volumes"....
(via)
hervé van der straeten first became known for his jewelry design and collection...but has since gained considerable attention for his works in bronze, glass, porcelain as well as a variety of other exquisite materials incorporating those into a very special furniture and lighting design line.
in my opinion there are times when designing residential or commercial interiors, that the space actually begs for a wow piece, something special to take center stage, or to ground the space, or to throw it off, perfectly. hervé van der straeten's designs are simply wow, in material, in design, in the overall presence each offers to any space. i love that! enjoy...

have a great weekend!
it's the middle of january, how are you doing?!
(via)
i have to admit, i'm surviving the winter months pretty easily this year, not sure why but the lack of snow helps. i've run outside twice in shorts this month (in new england?!) but i'll take it. ;) i hope that you are all getting outside, being adventurous and plugging along through the rather dull winter months in some fun way!
what are you up to this weekend? speaking of running, i need to spruce up my running wardrobe this weekend, shoes, pants...all getting worn. & i just picked up this book, (in the mood for a good story), can't wait to start it. in between that you'll find me sipping red wine and checking out this as a possible new series to follow. i hope that wherever you go, whatever you do, your weekend is amazing!
and it's friday, so some fun finds from around the world wide web:
a great roundup of beautiful velvet furniture.
sick of seeing donald trump? try this app. made me laugh.
the prettiest perfume bottle. and with an "overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power"? um, yes please... (read her review of it here.)
this. whole. house. is. beautiful.
these woven glass pendant lamps are stunning.
beautiful.
still looking for a really great new book for 2017? they have a ton of recommendations...
for next summer, this ruffled dress, just wow.
this ribbon staircase is pretty amazing, but would totally freak me out.
a fabulous kickstarter project. (especially if you like artist shepard fairey!).
these look yummy. i mean "flaky little loaves of herby savory glory"? yes please...
whoah, this textile pattern would make for wow chair fabric. this would too!
pretty and pretty wild, textile vases.
and i know we aren't even to this coming summer yet, but i'm absolutely LOVING this pre-fall 2017 line.
and speaking of summer, a fun one piece bathing suit.
just a sweet chair with pretty lines.
and half finished houses? a pretty cool concept.
enjoy!

to world's end, again
i'm someone who likes to be outside, alot. i run almost every day, and to get through the winter in new england, getting outdoors, looking out, looking up, being active, being still, is all it takes to rejuvenate & inspire me.
one of my favorite places to go is on the coast of massachusetts, to world's end. i went the other day and thought i'd share a few photos, in case you are interested...
how do you recharge or renew on days where you feel inspiration or energy is low? i'd love to hear. hope that you are having a great day today! enjoy...
