happy halloween weekend!

it's halloween weekend. do you get really into this holiday or not so much?
i feel like i could if the right party presented itself. other than that i'm content in handing out candy and taking it all in. (but i imagine a well done costume party would be a party like no other!)

and on that note, some fun halloween/fall stuff:

caramel bacon apples

a simple black mask.

a cool way to style a halloween bar cart.

a fun halloween place setting.

dress up like a picasso painting.

possibly the cutest kids costume.

speaking of costumes, these paper mache masks are adorable.

wherever you go, (who ever you dress up as), have a blast!

sophie lamps by lasfera.

lately loving these "sophie" lamps offered up by lasfera...
lafera pairs bent wood veneer with peeking bright color, lightening each piece. i thought that at first i was drawn to the wall sconces, but the floor lamps, with their rather organic overall mushroom standing shape have me hands down.

these lamps have a particular presence. plus i just like them. enjoy!

the eternal bun.

i find these days that my hair goes up, right when i get in the door from a day at work, a day out, on the weekend, you name it...
it's a look that just cannot outlive its grandeur. it's classic, it can salvage a bad hair day (rain, wind!), it can be formal, easy, sexy, sophisticated. anyway, these are some pretty ways of pulling off the bun, if i do say so myself. enjoy!

random space to love.

how amazing is this dining space, in every single way?
space of the day for me. enjoy!

oh, just 4 comfy chairs.

the italian company giorgetti is sure making some comfy looking chairs...
and i have to say, i'm not a fan of the traditional wing back chair or arm chair look, but there is something sleek yet super inviting about these. oh and there's more, here. enjoy!

tuesday & hippy chairs.

the italian design company billiani offers up a lot of great everything, but these hippy chairs stole my attention today...
billiani calls it "seating with a strong character" and that they hold "an elegance with an informal touch which renders them eclectic and multi-faceted." i find them interesting and quietly fun. order them with either the wooden or metal base, for the look, one way or the other, you are striving for.

how is your week starting out? in case you already need a little fun (i do!) here are a few fun links from around the world wide web, just for fun this tuesday...

remember to treat yourself.

if i am camping soon, i want this for breakfast!

a striped statement duvet cover.

a pretty food instagram site.

and this instagram site will make you want to go places.

a rude little black book.

love the idea of these flower ice cubes.

a to die for asymmetric skirt.

bacon caramel apples. um yeah!

my next calendar.

lately loving these coffee tables offered up by the german design company neo/craft...
these "isom" tables "create intriguing optical illusions, conjuring images of cubes when viewed from certain angles." neo/craft admits that the results can be particularly interesting when frosted, clear or multi-colored tables are combined. not only does the color palette change, the overall design changes. to something, to anything that you want it to be. and then you can start all over again, which is even more fun. enjoy!

monday & need supply co.

this monday i put together an outfit for you, from need supply co...
this ana tee...
with this minimalist bar ear cuff...
and this tribal wrist cuff...
with these dallas jeans...
and these open toed boots. oh, and each piece is on sale. you're welcome;)

how was your weekend? were you like me this past weekend and listening to this over and over and over...? pretty amazing right? enjoy!

here's to the weekend!

what are you up to this weekend? anything fun?
every weekend...and especially because the weather is SO nice these days in my part of the world, i feel pulled between plunking on the couch and reading a book (i just ordered this one) and hitting the road and enjoying the fall views, weather and exploring new places. i even have crazy go-camping thoughts running through my imagination. fires, eating outdoors. it's the weather!

i also saw this on bri's blog and LOVE it. might try it this weekend too. besides that i'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that even christmas is not that far away (what?!) and with that, i'm seriously thinking of doing something different this year...finding a different way to spend the holiday...maybe renting a house for a couple of days somewhere special. stuff like that.

wherever you go, whatever you do, enjoy the heck out of this weekend!

the world's end.

i've lived in massachusetts all of my life, and never knew that this was here, this place called the world's end...
(images, mine)
so i went there recently, spent about 3 hours, and walked the 251 acres. can you spot boston in the distance? it. was. amazing. the perfect fall day. there were hawks, deer and turkeys roaming around. planes descending into boston from overhead. the colors of the leaves are just starting to turn to bright. these are the kind of days that revive you, that bring you back down to earth. i wanted to share a few photos. enjoy!

BOSC, cool couches

man oh man, the french furniture line BOSC is coming out with some super sweet couches...
i'm in the market for a new couch and it seems to be one of those decisions that, once you commit to a particular one, you are conscious of how large of an impact it can have on the rest of that space it inhabits. or maybe i'm just thinking about it way too hard. that could be too ;) at any rate, i just really like these...enjoy!
