have a sweet weekend!

so, it has been hot, hot, HOT here in new england. no complaints but i'm looking forward to summer breezes, moving slower and sipping cool drinks this weekend...

summer is here and i've been enjoying every last little second, on every day. summer is my season. i love the lack of so many layers (aka: so many clothes), i love how everyone seems happier, healthier, more outgoing and somehow more relaxed.

a friend of mine ran into a guy the other who just hopped in a car, drove from kansas city and headed toward the east coast, just to drive it, just to meet people, just to talk to people and to be in many different moments. that's pretty cool in my book. i've always LOVED (and i'm talking REALLY LOVED) roadtrips. there is something sort of magical about them, something freeing about the feeling they evoke, the sensations that they trigger.

i'm planning one soon, to where? not sure yet. that's what makes it fun. enjoy and have a super sweet weekend friends!

rhianna ellington

drawn today to the smudgy neon pattern creations/compositions of rhianna ellington...
somehow they are giving me a boost this afternoon. enjoy!

erba italia seating.

the italian design company erba italia is offering up some pretty sensational seating options these days. here are a few current favs...
i could look at this product line all day long. enjoy!

monday & is everyone a photographer?

do you follow garance doré?

she's about everything creative, artistic, fun. she's travelling, she's creating, she's posting a web series of short, whirlwind, intimate snippets of what she, and her blog are all about. plus i find them strangely captivating...

her line of short videos, titled "pardon my french" are on my radar often. and this one, "is everyone a photographer" offers advice from some of the most followed photographers (and instagrammers) out there. a pure inspiration way of starting out your week. at least i hope ;) enjoy...(and get taking some photos!)

happy friday and let's bring on the weekend!
(via)
how has your week been? what are you wishing for this weekend? i'd love to hear.

i plan on taking a long run (to make up for some days missed running this week), i'm craving a greek pizza, here and speaking of pizza, how fun would it be to float around on this? or put a whole floating pizza together with friends? ha!

it felt like a loooong week, (at least for me!), let's hope that the weekend feels nice and long too. enjoy!

elastic lights.

these ceramic lights, designed by marta bordes offer a new take on articulated lamps...
(via)

marta states that the "simple geometric components linked by elastic cords reveal the function as a visual feature." and that "the playfulness of the systems invites you to manipulate the lamps and enjoy the feeling of the pieces sliding smoothly around each other." you can watch a simple yet sort of elegant super short video of them in operation, here.

marta is an architect and designer born in spain and is based in london. visit here website here. oh! and she has a very visually cool instagram you can follow here too. enjoy!

objects.

a mish-mash of objects i'm drawn to today...
(1,2,3,4,5,)
just cause...enjoy!

the conference chair.

i love these for a new take on the average conference chair, this "inno lounge" by four design...
like a school desk for writing, the inno lounge offeres a small space for a tablet, and for "individuals to listen, learn, move, rest," and to generate "teamwork in small or large groups."

i love that concept. and i love this design. it offers a v-shaped back for ergonomic support and comfort and a flexible, tilting overall shape. plus if you have to go to a conference, they're just more cool looking don't you think? enjoy!
